WORLDRISE
WE ACT FOR NATURE
Worldrise is a non-profit organisation founded by young professionals that is able to create projects that unite environmental protection, creativity and education.
Our projects aim to promote the conservation and valorisation of the marine environment through activities that are also able to act as a driver for sustainable economic and social development.
Worldrise projects are coordinated and carried out by young professionals and they directly involve university students and recent graduates in order to offer them the opportunity to combine academic knowledge with practical experience
Our organisation believes that the path for change lays in the professional empowerment and leadership training of the next generations of conservation leaders.

full immersion cinque terre
The Full Immersion Cinque Terre project focuses on educating divers about the biodiversity of the Marine Protected Area (MPA) of Cinque Terre and the importance of its protection.
The project aims to build awareness about the role of Marine Protected Areas as one of the best tool that we have to effectively conserve the marine environment. It focuses on showcasing the benefits of this protection including an increase in the diversity, density, biomass, body size and reproductive potential of marine species within and outside the boundaries of the reserve.
We work closely with diving centers and provide educational training for instructors and guides. During the summer period each diving center hosts one university students per month and as part of the project the students will:

il golfo dei delfini
The Golfo dei Delfini project promotes responsible dolphins watching in Golfo Aranci (Sardinia, IT). With a bottom-up approach we developed together with tourism operators a code of conduct based on international guidelines for sustainable whale watching (ACCOBAMS) and adapted them to the local reality.
The operators also received educational training to then be able to provide interesting and engaging information about dolphins’ ecology and behaviour to tourists during the excursion.
In this way we hope that participants will land on the ground with a wealth of intriguing scientific information that will lead them to live in a more aware and respectful manner remembering the exciting encounter with these amazing creatures at sunset.
In 2015 we partnered with Friend of the Sea and certified Sustainable Whale and Dolphin Watching Operators who comply with international guidelines to respect cetaceans.

#batti5
#Batti5 is an educational project that aims to raise awareness among the younger generation about the plastic pollution problem in our ocean. The project also aims to promote the active role of individuals in order to reduce pollution and improve the health of the planet. After an initial introductory lecture on the impacts of plastic, the children participate in a beach clean-up and attend a creative workshop where they turn the plastic collected into art.
The main objective of the #Batti5 project is to increase knowledge and awareness of people, starting with the youth, about the causes and consequences of pollution linked to plastics at sea, which threatens a variety of animals and our own health. The project will also emphasise the active role that every person can take in this battle and the behaviours to be adopted in order to reduce pollution and improve the health of the planet.
